The 2017 MVA 18 National team’s three seniors all signed National Letters of Intent this season while two members of its junior class made their verbal commitments.
Chelsea Bone, Sr., Setter, Sentinel HS
Chelsea was a two-year 18 National team player who signed a National Letter of Intent to Dominican University in San Rafael, CA. Chelsea helped the 2016 18 National team to a Girls’ Junior National Championship appearance as well as setting Sentinel Spartans to a State Championship. domincanathletics.com Press Release
Elsa Godwin, Jr., Outside Hitter, Sentinel HS
Elsa verbally committed to the University of Montana Grizzlies. Elsa has been a member of MVA since she was 11 years old and coincidentally played for current Grizzly coach Allison Lawrence in her first year with MVA on the MVA 12 National team. Cheyenne Jones, Sr., Outside Hitter, Valley Christian HS
Cheyenne will continue her playing career at the University of Texas El Paso in the fall. Chey was also a member of the 2016 18 National team that qualified for the Girls’ Junior National Championship. Casey Stites, Jr., Setter, Bozeman HS
Casey has been traveling to Missoula to play for MVA since her freshman year. Her years of dedication and hard work paid off as she will become a Montana Grizzly after graduation. Casey is the first setter to leave MVA and play at the D1 level. Casey will graduate early from Bozeman High and begin at UM in the spring of 2018.
Molly Watkins, Sr. Middle Blocker, Bozeman HS
Molly heads to Louisiana Tech in the fall to become a Bulldog. Molly joined the MVA 18 National team for her senior season and began turning heads immediately. Her 6’4″ frame helped the 18 National team to a top three regional finish and to the team’s first season playing exclusively in the “Open” division. Bozeman Chronicle Release
